Rob Skate Academy — Visual Identity Redesign
Photoshop and Illustrator
Rob Skate Academy is a grassroots skateboarding organization dedicated to serving underserved communities across the Bay Area. Over the past three years, I’ve worked closely with the academy as a skate instructor, witnessing firsthand its impact and unique approach to teaching, one rooted in mindfulness, inclusivity, and personal growth through skateboarding.
This rebrand project reimagines the academy’s visual identity to better reflect its values and mission. The new logo draws inspiration from Bay Area signage, local culture, and collegiate aesthetics — elements that nod to the academy’s role as both an educational space and community hub. The design aims to introduce an academic yet approachable tone, helping Rob Skate Academy stand out while staying true to its grassroots origins.
Highly Explosive Wheels — Package design
Product shoot / Design for social awareness
Highly Explosive Wheels is a fictional brand that explores the intersection of branding and propaganda. This conceptual brand uses bold visuals, aggressive typography, and subversive messaging to critique the aesthetics of consumerism and power. Through dynamic packaging design, the project plays with militaristic cues and explosive imagery to draw attention—while raising questions about the persuasive nature of design itself
“The wheels in this package were built for bombing hills — fast, loud, and unapologetic. Skateboarding is a universal language that connects people. Throughout history, war has shaped the story of our world. Propaganda glorifies conflict, selling ideals of dominance and superiority. The legacy of imperialism and colonialism still echoes today, leaving behind deep and visible inequalities.”
Online Magazine — Editorial Design
Community-Centered Publication
“Skate.” magazine is a personal tribute to the vibrant skate culture of the San Francisco Bay Area, created to amplify BIPOC voices. Rooted in my own experiences, it serves as both a welcoming guide for new skaters and a source of connection for those already immersed in the community. Featuring original photography, writing, and design, the magazine blends storytelling with visual energy. The full layout was created in InDesign, and the final issue was published digitally via Flipsnack.
Cooking Daddy — Unity Game Design
1st-person cooking simulation (prototype)
Cooking Daddy is a first-person cooking simulation game where players follow step-by-step instructions from the character "Cooking Daddy" to recreate a recipe and complete the level. While the prototype is non-functional in terms of cooking mechanics, it features a fully designed 3D environment where users can freely explore the kitchen space and move the player character.
My Role:
I served as project lead, overseeing the concept, environment design, and overall game structure from start to finish. I collaborated closely with a small team of creatives who provided 3D assets, UI elements, and character designs, which I integrated into the level layout and Unity environment.
In addition to level design, I created the game’s main menu interface, designing and building functional UI buttons to navigate the prototype. This work included layout planning, visual styling, and user interaction setup—making it a key introduction to UX/UI design within a game development context.
Chess Animation
3D Animation | Maya
This animation explores the movement and atmosphere of a stylized chess match. I created the entire scene from initial concept to final render using Autodesk Maya. This included modeling the chess pieces and board, applying textures and materials, setting up lighting to enhance the mood, and rendering the final animation.
